Every Saturday, the Old Dominion Humane Society offers a diverse range of opportunities for animal lovers, including a foster program, volunteer opportunities, donation drives, and even uplifting puppy parties. Senior Dog Sanctuary

The Senior Dog Sanctuary is located at 8336 W B&A Rd. in Severn, Maryland. This heartwarming rescue was founded by Val Lynch in 2015, a retired Air Force colonel who had a deep passion for helping elderly dogs in need. Tragically, Val passed away on September 8, 2020.
The sanctuary's mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome senior dogs who are homeless or in need of care. If you're interested in adopting a dog, you can visit their website and fill out an application online.
Additionally, the sanctuary offers various opportunities to get involved, including volunteering, fostering, sponsoring, and transporting dogs. Under dedicated leadership, the Senior Dog Sanctuary has already rescued and cared for 645 dogs, both within the United States and internationally.

Second Chance Animal Rescue (SCAR) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization established in February 2000 by Bonnie Lukas in Villalba, Puerto Rico. This dedicated rescue organization focuses on providing safety and care for homeless dogs and cats on the streets of Puerto Rico. The term "Sato" is a local slang for street dogs, and rescues these animals from the streets and beaches, providing them with essential medical care, food, shelter, and, most importantly, affection. Once rehabilitated, the animals are placed in partner shelters for adoption into loving homes. Supporting Second Chance Animal Rescue is a meaningful way to contribute to the well-being of abandoned and abused animals in Puerto Rico.
