"We helped our dear, sweet Allie across the Rainbow Bridge today. She started her life in a terrible way, abandoned with a broken nose in the Everglades in 2012. Second Chance Rescue saved her, and we adopted her from them, and she's been with us ever since. Her and her best friend Daytona were inseparable until he passed away in 2022. She missed him terribly, until we adopted another rescue. R.I.P. sweet Allie, your pain is over."

"It is with tears in my eyes and a broken and heavy heart that I write this post. Today is the first anniversary since I had to help my beautiful beloved 12 1/2 year old Weimaraner rescue Kringle cross The Rainbow Bridge. We got him from the Humane Society after he was rescued from a horrible house of horrors. He was so smart he got loose and went across the street to the police station! They checked his tag and found the monster responsible for his barely being able to stand due to starvation. They found dead puppies and dogs tied to trees on the property and many more starving dogs and puppies inside and outside. Kringle was in the ICU for 3 months unable to keep food down. Our other Weimaraner died right before Christmas and my husband took him to Humane Society to be cremated and was crying when one of the volunteers said I need to show you something. Kringle just got out of ICU that morning!

He immediately put a hold on him and came home and got me! He was about 1 year old. We had to foster him until the friend's trial was over. He was terrified of men and loud noises or if you raised your arm or hands. He bonded with me immediately. It took time but my husband was the only man he trusted.

He was severely traumatized from the abuse and was very destructive. He destroyed 4 couches! We had 2 other dogs he absolutely adored especially our staffy/pitbull Stewie. They were BFF's and snuggle buddies. Then cancer struck. Twice. The first time he had surgery and beat it. Then two years later mast cell cancer returned on his side. He had surgery 1/4/24 but the Vet couldn't get it all. He didn't recommend any more surgery or chemotherapy. He said he didn't have much time very aggressive cancer. In April Kringle's appetite started declining and then he just stopped eating and drinking. It was time. The picture I posted was the last one before we took him for his last ride to the Vet.

My heart still is and will always be broken. I love and miss you every day Kringle. Marley misses you too. I send prayers, love and hugs to everyone going through this same heartache whether recent or in the past. The pain never stops."

"Our beloved cat Colby passed over the rainbow bridge, at 15 yrs old , joining Bucky, Oreo, Bailey, and Lucy. It’s been a tough year, to say the least, but I know in my heart, Colby ran across that bridge to meet his siblings.

This beautiful male orange tabby came into our lives as a kitten. From the beginning, he was strong willed, wanted to be in charge and had a very wild side.

He needed to be outside to run wild and free. He loved our yard, his hunting grounds, and would bring us gifts almost daily. He was afraid of nothing, whether it be a deer, ground hog or birds. As he proudly laid his gifts ( chipmunks, birds, bunnies, mice) at our feet, he would command a “ thank you”. Many times the chipmunks would be alive as he brought them in the house which created chaos, he would drop them on the floor and as we learned they would play dead. Once they saw the coast was clear, they would come alive, then the party began. Brooms flying, doors closing , cat chasing, us cursing just to get that animal out of the house.

Colby, enjoyed walking the neighborhood with us when we walked his dog siblings. Always following behind. More then once people would stop us to ask if he was really our cat.

Colby was the only cat that I knew that could open the screen door to get in the house, but he never learned how to close it. He also could open any door by just putting his paw under the opening. If he wanted you, you couldn’t hide. Yes he did have his annoying side, and drove us insane, when he jumped on the counters looking for any food left out, but he was ours.

He could stick his head in any glass to drink your water. He even used his paw to scoop up water or milk if he found it in a cup. Colby always had access to clean water, but insisted on drinking pool water or water from a puddle after a rain and never got sick.

He tolerated his brothers and sisters and they all lived as a pack, but he was in charge. As he got older, he knew when it was time to give up command to his youngest brother, Rudy.

Colby loved his own terms, choosing the people he would love., especially Colin. When he liked you he liked you! If he didn’t he didn’t.

He was very territorial and would not allow anyone to trespass. He kept our home rodent fee unless he brought them in.

He would roll on his back in the middle of the street, sidewalk and driveway. He truly had 9 lives!

As I stood with you today, petting and talking until you fell asleep, your life flashed before my eyes. What a beautiful life it was. Those who know me know, Know I never say goodbye. I know we will see each other again one day, so Colby, see you later. Love Momma."

"We lost our son on Saturday night went quietly on daddy lap what an amazing 13 years hundreds of miles of hiking you where my hiking partner never turned down a trail as crazy as many of them where you would swim tell daddy would have to get mad and tell you that was enough and then you sneak back in the water lol we know you will be by our side on our hikes with your sister Autumn you always knew what I was thinking without me saying anything I would think it was time for walk etc and you would wake up out of your sleep and head to the door. We love you Buddy and we'll meet you at the rain bow bridge your sister Hannah we'll be waiting for you tonight so you won't be scared you can run and play and swim and go on long hikes with her R.I.P Buddy."
